Information Technology Director Description

The appropriate candidate for the Information Technology Director for Professional Sports Organization will have the following experience:

The candidate will have a strong history of leadership, strategic vision, and a demonstrated track record of managing IT personnel. The candidate will have a strong technical background and the operational expertise to thoroughly evaluate, troubleshoot and upgrade existing systems, as well as the vision necessary to evaluate, recommend and implement new and innovative systems. The candidate will be security conscious, sensitive to confidential information possessed by organization, and have a focus on the compliance aspects of managing the organization’s electronic information. The candidate must have experience vetting, directing and managing external vendors and consultants, and the ability to evaluate and manage internal IT personnel. The candidate will have previous experience creating and managing an annual budget and the ability to demonstrate to leadership the value of the organization’s IT offerings and services and a meaningful return on investment.

In combination with strong business and technical acumen the qualified candidate will have outstanding interpersonal/communication skills and possess the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. The candidate will be highly organized, possess strong client/customer service skills, and have the ability to make recommendations with confidence and be prepared to make the business case for those recommendations. The candidate will also stay abreast of current and developing technology and trends with a focus on continuously improving and optimizing technology services for the organization.

The recommended salary for this position will be $200k per year + Bonus
