Discovery Analytics Specialist, Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; and, Nashville, TN
Overview:
Large regional law firm (Am Law 100 firm) seeks a Discovery Analytics Specialist with 2+ years of experience to work with our Encompass group. This position is open for the following office positions: Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; and, Nashville, TN. Individual will collaborate with attorneys to apply data analytics in areas such as early case assessment, predictive coding, defensible deletion, offensive and defensive analysis of data, review efficiency and reporting, and analysis of discovery issues related to litigation and investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Execute conceptual and structured analytics workflows/processes
- Consult with attorneys on culling approaches
- Consult with attorneys on uses of analytics for offensive and defensive analysis for productions, motions, and discovery practices
- Draft Memoranda outlining case-specific culling methodologies and statistical results
- Administer and advise on TAR projects
- Perform and advise on sampling approaches and metrics; specifically, Precision, Recall and Richness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years’ experience in the litigation space (Analytics Specific preferred/Juris Doctorate is a plus)
- Understanding of the litigation lifecycle and EDRM
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Good organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Relativity (Analytics Certification is a plus)
- Experience with Technology Assisted Review (TAR)- specifically Predictive Coding or Active Learning is a plus
